Today was our Snow Day. Work was cancelled, School was cancelled, everything hour by hour closed down so people could make it home. What ever would the Mr and I do all day?? Play in the snow and shovel of course!! Well Milo and AJ played. AJ wanted to go out and drive in it.
Each hour the news gave us new snow totals... 4"... 6".... 8" ..... then 10"...... What did we end up with at the end of the day?? I'll tell you at the end..
Where'd the new black roof go?? Guess this will be the test to show if we have any leaks.... hope not!!
Milo had to go check it out. And he made sure to chase after every snowball thrown.
AJ in his snowgear....
I too with what I had, the rest of my snow stuff is still at my moms house... guess I should find those...
AJ ended up shoveling and Milo made sure he didn't miss any. With AJ doing all the shoveling, he got the workout...
All the neighbor kids were out playing in the snow and building forts. They missed Megan and Noah. After shoveling, AJ and Milo came in to warm up and relax.
Now the side streets normally don't get plowed. And if they do, it's not for a few days. They make sure to plow the main streets first (not with a tractor though). Later in the afternoon I heard beeping... Looked out the window and saw a tractor plowing our street. WOW!! That's cool that our street got plowed and on the same day as the storm.
So at the end of the storm, how many inches did we finally get...????
17"!!!
The next day was back to the hussle and bussle, we were hoping for another snow day... Oh well guess we'll have to wait for next year...
I don't think this was a "Blizzard" it was only 17" and only here for one day. I enjoyed having a snow day. Now the one we had a few years ago... That was a "Blizzard". Things were shut down for a few days and we got 3-4 feet! That was a good blizzard!
