Oh I forgot...

So in the last post, I forgot to update you all on what we have updated around the house. AJ put up fans in the kids' rooms. Thank you Auntie DeeDee and soon-to-be Uncle Jon!! We put remotes with the fans and all Noah can say is "Wow! Our rooms are so high tech!!"

Then thanks to wonderful Craigs List, I found this great couch! It fits perfectly and now that room is slowly coming together. The rug needs to go now... Oh and Furball tried using it as a scratching post, boy I nipped that in the butt fast!

Note: A way to train the cat to stay off your couch... FOIL!! They don't like the sound or feel of it.

So I had the whole thing covered in foil for the last 3 weeks. I slowly took them off. I haven't taken the corner ones off yet as she seems to like the corners..

I've been meaning to update about how we've painted mostly all the downstairs. This is our front room. And I made the artwork for a total of maybe $10... The kids made each of the ones next to the window so they had a feeling of helping too. They really enjoyed this project. Maybe in the future I'll post how we made these wonderful works of art.

We finally decided on a sink for the bathroom. We chose the square bowl. We love it! We actually first saw it at Home Depot (our home away from home when doing a project because no project can be completed without visiting Home Depot at least 3 times). Then I just happened to be looking at Costco's website and found this sink for almost 1/2 the cost! Great! And the other best part about it was shipping and handling was free!

And finally for this update round, here's our painted dining room and kitchen. We took out the big ugly florescent light that hung in the kitchen and AJ put in can lights. We just need to paint the ceiling still. Oh another project...

Well those are some of the home updates. I must have missed the pic of the yard... We got new mulch and plant/flower pots. There was a part of the grass that wasn't even and AJ bought some grass and evened it out. It looks so good. And poor him I think he did it on one of the hottest days. Love him!!

Future project #2... My mom and I hit the jackpot at a garage sale. She was selling everything!! Even blinds! Wood blinds for $5 each!! These on average are at least $100 each!! So I got new wood blinds for both the kids' rooms and enough for maybe the living room/dining room windows too. We were so proud of our wonderful garage sale find!! So now I just need to put them up.....
